No injuries but extensive damage in apartment fire

Emergency crews responded to an apartment fire on Sherbrook Street on Sunday evening.

The fire broke out in a basement suite in the two-storey apartment building at 719 Sherbrook St. No injuries were reported but the fire caused an estimated $200,000 damage, said a Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service spokesperson.

 The fire was reported at 3:31 p.m on Sunday. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
