Richard Leipsic

former general counsel and senior vice-president of Canwest Global Communications Corp., has joined Acumen Corporate Development Inc. as a managing director. Leipsic has 30 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and succession planning.

Michael Salomons

has been appointed to two half-time positions at the Foodgrains Bank: program officer and conservation agriculture program development officer. Salomons will be taking over the half-time program officer position from Vera Isaak, who retired this spring.

Pier Chiappetta and Ryan Pastetnik

have been appointed vice-president and general sales manager, respectively, of Jim Gauthier Chevrolet. Chiappetta has been in the industry for 23 years, starting in the service department and working his way into sales and upper management in the past 10 years as part of Gauthier Auto Group. Pastetnik recently joined Gauthier Auto Group, bringing 10 years of sales and management experience.

Todd Andres

of Pitblado was recently sworn in as general counsel for the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce.
