Police have arrested two men accused of stabbing a man in a Roslyn Road apartment after a failed robbery attempt.
The suspects went to the man’s suite in the 100 block of Roslyn Road Friday about 8:25 p.m. with the intention of robbing him, Winnipeg police said.
The 22-year-old tenant, who knew the men, resisted their attempts to take his belongings and was stabbed in the upper body before the suspects fled.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable.
Police tracked the men down Sunday and arrested them.
Winnipeggers Leonard Dalton Gavelin, 18, and Jarrett Albert Ellison, 18, were both charged with robbery with a weapon and failure to comply with sentence.
Both males are being detained in custody.
