A man with a lifetime driving suspension was stopped by RCMP Tuesday — after he was clocked doing 172 kilometres an hour on a Manitoba highway.
The 38-year-old was driving to court to face previous driving-related charges at the time of the incident, police said. His car has been impounded for 30 days and he was fined $862.
The man also faces fines for driving without insurance and driving while disqualified, the RCMP said, although the amounts have not yet been set.
