LONGTIME Mynarski Coun. Harry Lazarenko is recovering in hospital after surgery related to a brain aneurysm he suffered late Monday afternoon.
The North End councillor collapsed Monday at city hall after reporting mild dizziness earlier in the day. Friends and fellow councillors said Lazarenko appeared in fine health, otherwise.
Lazarenko’s family has asked for privacy as he recovers at Health Sciences Centre.
Lazarenko, who has been on council for more than 27 years, said recently he planned to run for re-election this fall, barring any health problems.
