To make room for Stapleton, the Jets re-assigned Aaron Gagnon to the AHL's St. John's IceCaps. In seven games Gagnon had no points playing largely on the fourth line, but the Jets had no complaint about his play.
Home sweet home
WINNIPEG'S schedule leans towards the favourable from here to the finish.
Of the 25 games that remain, 15 will be played at the MTS Centre, including nine of the next 10. The Jets are 16-8-2 at home so far.
IceCaps setting pace
THE IceCaps had two goals each from captain Jason Jaffray and Ben Maxwell and won Sunday, 6-3 over the Binghamton Senators, extending a winning streak to four games and giving them five of the six games in a homestand.
St. John's now has an AHL-best 70 points.
