About the Canadiens
Montreal comes off a Saturday night win of 4-1 over Minnesota, a second straight win following three consecutive losses.
The Habs are 7-0-1 in one-goal games this season. The Jets are 5-0-2 in that department this season.
With 38 goals scored in 15 games, Montreal is not filling nets this season, but has a team-leading six goals from Max Pacioretty so far.
Winnipeg’s Bryan Little, with 11 points, will be the only player in Tuesday’s game with more than 10 points this season. Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec pace Montreal with 10 apiece.
Montreal’s No. 1 goalie, Carey Price, comes into the game with an 8-3-1 record, (2.78, .912).
The Habs and Jets split their two games last season, each winning in the other’s building.
