WINNIPEG – A few Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a little lighter in the wallet today.

The Canadian Football League announced that four members of the club – head coach Paul LaPolice, DE Phillip Hunt, C Obby Khan, and DB Jovon Johnson – have received fines for comments made about the officials following Friday’s heartbreaking 44-40 loss to the Montreal Alouettes at Canad Inns Stadium.

LaPolice was dinged $1,000 for his criticism, while Hunt, Khan, and Johnson were fined an undisclosed amount for their public displeasure. Those amounts are believed to be in the $500 range. The coach said in his media briefing today that the organization would not be picking up any of the fines handed out today.

The Bombers (3-9) take on the B.C. Lions (4-8) at Empire Stadium Saturday.
