Two University of Manitoba students have won prestigious Rhodes Scholarships to study at Oxford University in England for the next two years.

Jody Reimer will graduate this spring from U of M with an undergraduate degree in mathematics. She is a graduate of Steinbach Regional Secondary School.

Melissa Bailey will graduate with an undergraduate degree in genetics. She graduated from Kelvin High School.

U of M now boasts 95 Rhodes Scholars, the most of any western Canadian university. Three scholarships go to students in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta each year – the third this year is a University of Calgary student.
