PEOPLE
Dr. Naranjan Dhalla
St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre’s distinguished professor and director of cardiovascular developments, recently inaugurated the Pharmaceutical Research Centre at the Anand Pharmacy College in Gujarat, India. Dhalla was guest of honour of the fourth World Congress of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, held at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Vadodara.
Mark M. Balcaen
M.H.Sc., FACHE, president and CEO of Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, has been elected to the Council of Regents, legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Balcaen was formerly president and CEO of Sioux Lookout District Health Centre in Sioux Lookout, Ont., administrator at the Brandon Mental Health Centre and administrator of the Lakeshore District Health System in Eriksdale.
