CALGARY — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Friday morning that they will be without starting safety Ian Logan when they take on the Calgary Stampeders here at McMahon Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Logan has not practised with the team all week because of what club officials initially described as the flu. In his absence, Bombers cornerback Jovon Johnson has been practising at safety, while Deon Beasley has replaced Johnson at corner.
The Bombers travel to Calgary Friday morning but for the first time all season will not hold a light practice the day before a game. It snowed overnight in Calgary and the Bombers have elected to instead hold team meetings and a media availability at their downtown hotel.
