FOLLOWING a 4-2 win over New Jersey Saturday, Winnipeg has won two straight and is 5-1 in its last six games at home… The club is 2-1 on this five-game homestand… Seven of Winnipeg’s 11 wins have come at the MTS Centre… Winger Evander Kane leads the Jets in scoring with 21 points (14 goals) and has seven points during his current five-game streak (six goals)… He has a team-high three power-play goals… Kane (98) and defenceman Dustin Byfuglien (101) have 199 shots between them; no other Jet is over the 60-shot mark… Heading into Monday’s action, the Jets were ranked sixth on the power play at home (21.7 per cent) and 15th on the penalty kill (83 per cent)… Winnipeg led 2-0 but lost 4-2 in Boston last month.
About the Bruins
AFTER Monday night’s win in Pittsburgh, the Bruins have gone 15 straight games without a regulation loss (13-0-1)… Sophomore forward Tyler Seguin leads the Bruins with 24 points (12 goals)… In 16 starts, goaltender Tim Thomas is 12-4 with a 1.93 GAA and three shutouts… Defenceman Zdeno Chara leads all Bruins in ice time with over 25 minutes per game… Head coach Claude Julien is in his fifth season… The last time the Bruins played in Winnipeg was Dec. 31, 1995. Boston beat Winnipeg 5-3.
