About the Jets
Rolling along with a 4-0-2 record in their last six and having earned eight of a possible 10 points through five games of an eight-game homestand… Amazingly, Saturday’s shootout loss to the Blues tied the franchise record for consecutive games without a regulation-time defeat, first set in November of 2010… RW Blake Wheeler has 18 points (4G, 14A) in February… Dustin Byfuglien has 11 points (2G, 9A) in his last six games and now has 40 this season, among the NHL D-men leaders… Ondrej Pavelec is expected to start in goal and has already set a career high in wins with 23.
About the Oilers
Edmonton is 4-5-1 in its last 10 and coming off a 3-1 loss to Phoenix… The Oilers are just 8-20-2 on the road… Edmonton’s power-play is third in the league at 21.2%… The sensational Jordan Eberle Jordan leads the team in goals (27), assists (33) and points (60)… This is the only meeting between the old WHA rivals this season and marks the return of G Nikolai Khabibulin, who began his career here in Winnipeg.
