About 150 people gathered Tuesday at a vigil in the back lane where Carolyn Marie Sinclair’s body was found over the weekend.
The mourners held white balloons and lit candles next to the Dumpster where Sinclair’s body was found in a garbage bag.
The 25-year-old, who was a sex-trade worker, disappeared months ago, and police say her body had been in the alley behind Notre Dame Avenue for some time.
No arrests have been made in the slaying — one of dozens involving aboriginal women over the years.
The mourners lit a small fire and tucked roses into a ribbon tied around a power pole. A traditional drum group also played.
