Big Brother is watching… eh?

One of TV’s longest-running reality-show franchises is coming to Canada. Shaw Media announced Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Endemol, the series’ creator, and Toronto-based Insight Productions to produce a Canadian version of Big Brother, which will première during the 2012-13 TV season on the Shaw-owned Slice cable network.

The U.S. version of Big Brother has aired for 13 seasons on CBS (and, in Canada, on Global). Internationally, the format has aired in 87 countries.

Casting and production details will be announced later.
