The English Language Centre at the University of Manitoba needs volunteers willing to meet and visit with international students. By simply socializing, you can provide listening and speaking practice and improve their opportunity for success. Environmental Health Association of Manitoba needs a graphic designer to design brochures and other print and possible website materials. Manitoba Riding for the Disabled, a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities, is looking for volunteers to act as horse leaders or side walkers. A mandatory volunteer orientation will be held Sept. 5, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at West Wind Stables. Volunteers must be 16 years or older and while horse experience is necessary to be a leader, it is certainly not required to be a side walker.
