DARRELL Ackman, more commonly known as MrJetzTV on YouTube, has announced he is a candidate in the Fort Whyte byelection this fall.
Ackman is currently out on bail on child pornography and sexual assault charges.
It is alleged he tried to recruit underage girls for the purposes of prostitution and pornography.
Nevertheless, he is allowed to run as a candidate under the Elections Act.
When reached at his home in Tuxedo for comment, Ackman said, “I can’t talk right now, where I’m at.” He promised to comment on his election plans today.
Suddenly, someone could be heard shouting, “Don’t call here… don’t call here ever,” before the phone was slammed down.
Other candidates for the Sept. 4 provincial byelection are Tory Leader Brian Pallister, Liberal Bob Axworthy, Brandy Schmidt for the NDP and Donnie Benham for the Green Party.
