ABOUT THE FLYERS
— The Flyers enter the game at 17-17-3 and 35 points, just three back of the Jets.
— Philly has won four straight, the most recent a 5-3 victory over Toronto on Thursday.
— Jacob Voracek, a close friend of Ondrej Pavelec of the Jets, has
points in 15 of his last 22 games, notching 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points in that stretch. His 16 goals is just two shy of the career-high 18 he scored last season.
— Simon Gagne, who rejoined the Flyers from L.A in February, has goals in back-to-back games for Philly.
— The Flyers have one of the NHL’s most potent power-plays (second heading into Friday’s action) at 23.7 per cent. Their penalty-kill unit is also solid, ranking 7th in the NHL.
— Claude Giroux is among the league leaders in faceoffs, and has won 54.3 per cent of his draws.
— The Flyers are one of the NHL’s most penalized teams, having been short-handed 147 times this season.
