The Trans-Canada Highway will be temporarily closed in the Headingly area on Sunday Aug. 18 to allow for needed railway crossing repairs.
Repairs will start at 4 a.m. and the highway will once again open by 9 p.m. or earlier depending on how quickly repairs are finished.
Detours will be set up on municipal roads for vehicles and larger trucks will be diverted using nearby highways like PTH 2 and 3.
All drivers are urged to slow down and use caution in the area to benefit other vehicles and for the safety of the workers.
