CORNERBACK BRANDON STEWART, ON THE CROWD CHEERING FOR BUCK PIERCE LATE IN THE GAME:

“That was sickening. It was sickening when our own crowd was cheering for another team, that was crazy.”

BRYANT TURNER, ON WHAT HE SAID TO PIERCE AFTER HELPING LIFT HIM UP FROM AN ALEX HALL SACK:

“I just told him, ‘Keep going, keep working,’ and he was like, ‘Thanks for helping me up.’ “

BOMBERS DEFENSIVE BACK JOVON JOHNSON:

“This is hard to put into words. It’s a hard one to bite. On defence, we go out and do the job but it’s hard when their defence outscores our offence. When you turn the ball over like we did, it makes it hard to win. Our job on defence is to stop them from scoring but we can’t do anything about them scoring when we’re not even on the field.”

BOMBERS LINEBACKER HENOC MUAMBA:

“It’s sad. I saw a lot of negative things out there but I’m proud of our defence. We didn’t quit. We kept playing. No one had their head down. We kept coming.”

WINNIPEG HEAD COACH TIM BURKE, ON THE FACT HE’S TRIED ALL THREE PIVOTS AS STARTER:

“Yeah, we have, and two on the other side, too.”

BOMBERS COACH TIM BURKE WHEN ASKED IF HE WOULD RESIGN:

“I’m not a quitter. What kind of example would that be? That when the challenge gets tough, you walk away from it? That wouldn’t be a show of character.”

BOMBERS OL GLENN JANUARY SUMMING UP THE VIEWS OF AN ENTIRE STADIUM FRIDAY NIGHT:

“That’s embarrassing — it honestly is to go out there and have a performance like that.”

MORE FROM JANUARY:

“I have no words to describe how low I feel right now.”

BOMBERS RB WILL FORD ON HIS FUMBLE TO OPEN THE GAME:

“I just tried to run before I grabbed the ball… It was a mistake that I shouldn’t have made and I’m down on myself about it. It was the first fumble of my career since I’ve been in the CFL. It was rough — I tried to fight back. It just started off the game wrong… I’ve never played a game like that in my life. From here on, the only way to go is up.”

LIONS QB BUCK PIERCE ON THE STANDING OVATION HE RECEIVED WHEN HE CAME INTO THE GAME IN THE FOURTH QUARTER:

“It was amazing to come back here and get treated like that by these fans. That’s something I will take away forever.”

LINEBACKER PIERRE-LUC LABBE, ON HEARING FANS CHEER FOR THE OTHER SIDE:

“Our fans… they’ve been amazing with us, just to be here tonight with the type of record we’ve had so far.”
