Each week we’ll take a look at the NHL and put out power rankings based on our criteria which will be a combination of record, schedule and roster.

 

1. San Jose Sharks (10-1-1)

— The Sharks have 21 points to lead the NHL and are a beast.

2. Anaheim Ducks (9-3-0)

— Bruce Boudreau has Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf clicking.

3. St.Louis Blues (6-1-2)

— Alex Steen is among the best players in the league right now and the Blues might have the league’s best back end.

4. Colorado Avalanche (10-1-0)

— Speed, great goal-

tending and intensity fuel this fire.

5. Toronto Maple Leafs (8-4-0)

— The advanced stats say the Leafs can’t continue at this pace but ask the Pittsburg Penguins, who the Leafs handled on Saturday night if they prefer Corsi or Carlyle with their defeat.
