The tallest building in Winnipeg appears to be on the block.
The 201 Portage building, located on the northwest corner of Portage and Main, is in the process of being put up for sale, according to a Global News report Thursday.
The 32-storey tower, a fixture in the Winnipeg skyline since it opened in 1990, is the tallest structure between Toronto and Calgary. The building was built for approximately $40 million and has gone by the names TD Centre, Canwest Global Place and Canwest Place before switching to the current 201 Portage moniker three years ago.
Creswin Properties, the real estate company owned by David Asper, has owned the building for over a decade.
