SOCHI, Russia – Jennifer Jones curled a perfect 100 per cent in her second draw of the Olympics taking a 9-3 win over Sweden to move to 2-0 at the Olympics.

“I never look at the stats, but I felt like we played really well as a team today. The girls just left me some makeable shots and I made them,” said Jones. “I couldn’t ask for better teammates, we’re just having the time of our life out there. We are having so much fun. The girls are playing great and are playing up the ice. We are playing consistent and are getting more comfortable.”

Jones said her team has been having a blast so far in Sochi.

NATHAN DENETTE / THE CANADIAN PRESS Canada skip Jennifer Jones yells after throwing her rock while playing against China in the second end during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia on Monday. Canada won 9-2.

“It’s exactly where you want to be after day two, we just have to keep it going,” said the Winnipegger. “We’re relaxed and having fun out there and enjoying the crowd. The ice is just the way we like it. We haven’t played a lot since the Olympic trials so it’s good to see we’re at the level we need to be. Everything is going right. This is just such an amazing experience. One of the greatest of my life.”

Third Kaitlyn Lawes says Jones is in good form.

“Yeah, Jen’s pretty good. She just had that fire in her eyes, she was going after it all,” said Lawes.

Canada’s wins have come against China and Sweden, both medal contenders.

“It’s a great start against two really strong teams and I think we’ll be seeing them again,” said Lawes. “They’re great teams and it’s a long week so you never know, we’ll probably end up seeing them at the end of the week.”
