If Winnipeg’s enduring winter conditions have an upside, it is that it’s possible to shoot a Christmas movie here in April.
Sure enough, a TV movie titled One Christmas Eve is shooting in town with Anne Heche playing a newly divorced mom having some unexpected adventures the night before Christmas.
The film is currently shooting in Crescentwood and is expected to shoot here for the next four weeks. Production will shut down the William R. Clement Parkway in Charleswood over the weekend between Roblin Boulevard and Grant Avenue on Saturday to Sunday between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. and Sunday to Monday between the hours of 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
A production of Hallmark Hall of Fame and ABC, the film production will conduct intermittent pedestrian control on the north/south walkway on the west side of William R Clement Parkway between the pedestrian bridge and Roblin Boulevard.
