Blue Bombers’ kicker Lirim Hajrullahu has been named the CFL’s special teams player of the week.
Hajrullahu hit five field goals last Friday night in Vancouver, powering Winnipeg to a 23-6 victory over the B.C. Lions.
It’s the third time in the 2014 season a Winnipeg player has earned a CFL weekly award. Demond Washington was the special teams player of the week in Week 2 and quarterback Drew Willy was the league’s top offensive player in Week 1.
