The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added two more internationals to their training camp roster: defensive back Johnny Adams and offensive lineman David Mims.
Adams (5-11, 177, Michigan State) started 39 of 54 games with the Sparts, registering 157 tackles and 11 interceptions. He was a three-time All-Big Ten selection from 2010-2012 and is ranked fourth in school history in interception return yards (230). Adams also recorded 11 interceptions during his time at Michigan State. After university, he spent time in the NFL with the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills, seeing action with the Bills in four games in 2013.
Mims (6-8, 350, Virginia Union) was signed out of college by the Kansas City Chiefs and spent time on their practice roster before being activated in late November. He spent the 2013 and 2014 training camps with the Baltimore Ravens, and then joined the Boston Brawlers of the FXFL in 2014.
