The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Tuesday afternoon that they have released non-import defensive end Ameet Pall and import receiver Jarrell Jackson.

Pall was selected fifth overall in the 2012 CFL draft by the Calgary Stampeders, but never did play a game for the Stamps and was released. He then signed with the Montreal Alouettes, with whom he recorded three special teams tackles over the course of the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

The Bombers signed Pall as a free agent last September and he dressed for one game in 2014, recording a defensive tackle.

Jackson was coming off brief stints with four different NFL teams when the Bombers signed him as a free agent last October. He never did dress for the Bombers.

Also on Tuesday, the Bombers announced they will once again hold their mini-training camp at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

This year’s camp will be held Apr. 19-21 and will be attended by the club’s quarterbacks and first-year players. A similar camp held by the Bombers at the same venue for the first time last season was judged a major success and led to the signings of several players, including running back Paris Cotton.
