The Blue Bombers picked up a new import linebacker today, signing Michigan State alumnus Denicos Allen.

The 24-year-old Allen bounced around NFL practice rosters last season, after he was signed by Carolina following the 2014 draft. The 5-11, 220 lb. LB then spent time with the St. Louis Rams and Tampa Bay.

Through his collegiate career at Michigan State, Allen was a three-year starter, and earned All-Big Ten honours each season. He played 54 games total for the Spartans, 40 of them starts, and made 278 tackles in that span.

In his senior year in 2013 he led the Rose Bowl champion team with 98 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks and one forced fumble to earn an All-American nod.
