U of M QB added to Bomber roster

Jordan Yantz has officially found a new football home. And it will involve the quarterback walking about 100 paces from the University of Manitoba Bisons dressing room to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers operation just down the hall.

The Bombers announced Tuesday the signing of Yantz (6-1, 213), a 25-year-old product of Regina who lit up the skies with both the Bisons in Canadian college football but also during his junior days with the Vancouver Island Raiders. He was in training camp last year with the Bombers and was solid, before returning to the Bisons for his final year.

“Jordan is going to come in and compete for a spot on our roster at quarterback,” said General Manager Kyle Walters in a statement. “We feel he has shown all the tools needed to play this position at the professional level, and we look forward to watching him compete in camp.”
