MORE than 30 vendors will set up shop when The Forks Farmers’ Market opens for the season, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

“It’s our second season… and we are looking forward to building on the success of last year, with even more vendors and services,” Melissa Morrow, events manager at The Forks, said in a news release.

There will be free entertainment and face painting and cookies for children. The first 75 customers will receive a free starter plant or flowers to take home for their garden.

Located in The Forks Market Plaza parking lot, the market offers an ever-changing lineup of local vendors each Sunday.

“From handmade goods to locally grown plants and produce, it is a fantastic showcase of what’s available within our community,” said Morrow. “And if your shopping bags get too full, there is a free pedicab service that will take you from the market to your car.”

The market runs every Sunday through September. For a list of the vendors participating each week, go to http://wfp.to/Rz8.
