FRED Durst is coming to Winnipeg in next few weeks, but he won’t be fronting for the rap-metal band Limp Bizkit.

According to Variety, Durst is confirmed to co-star in the film Population 436, along with Jeremy Sisto. The Pariah production, directed by Michelle MacLaren (The X-Files) and scripted by Michael Kingston, is scheduled to begin shooting in Winnipeg and several rural locations beginning June 11.

Sisto (Six Feet Under) stars as a census taker who comes to the town to find out why the population has remained unchanged for 100 years. The town itself will be recreated in the Steinbach Mennonite Village in Steinbach and the agricultural museum in Austin, according to producer Kat Landsberg.

This will be a legitimate screen outing for Durst, who sued several websites in March for posting a sex clip of him and a former girlfriend that was allegedly stolen from Durst’s personal computer. Durst has also appeared as himself, in films such as Be Cool and Zoolander.
