Hey there, time traveller!

If the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are to keep their playoff hopes from flat-lining this week, they’re going to have to stop a 40-year-old surgeon from slicing them open again.
The Bombers will face the Ottawa Redblacks and veteran quarterback Henry Burris in a rematch of last Friday’s loss in the nation’s capital, needing a win in their final regular-season home game of 2015 to push them to 6-11.
Burris, a legitimate Most Outstanding Player candidate this season, completed 34 of 43 passes for 370 yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 win that catapulted the Redblacks into the postseason.
And if the Bombers are to do the same, they’ll need to get up in his grill a lot more than they did last Friday.
“As you saw in last week’s game, he got into a nice rhythm,” said Bomber defensive end Greg Peach. “With most quarterbacks that’s how it’s going to be, but with him he’s a 15-year pro and so when he gets in a rhythm he can really light it up.
“We have to stop that.”
Peach will likely return to the Bombers starting defensive dozen, replacing Derrell Johnson who pulled up lame in Ottawa after starting the last two games. The Bombers will again be without centre Dominic Picard and, while he was still absent from practice Wednesday to tend to a personal matter, the club hopes to have right tackle Stanley Bryant back on the field on Thursday.
Slotback Nick Moore was also back at work after skipping Tuesday’s session.
“The vibe around here is great,” said Moore. “We’ve got a special locker room where the guys are so close. We’re going to keep fighting until the end.
“That’s all we’re trying to do here. We owe that to each other, we owe that to this coaching staff. We’ve worked too hard this entire year to pack it in now, especially with us still having a chance.”
NEW QB IN TOWN: The Bombers continue to take a look at prospective quarterbacks for the future. The latest is former Oregon/Southeastern Louisiana pivot Bryan Bennett, who got a look-see from the Indianapolis Colts this summer after passing through the NFL Draft.
