ABOUT THE STARS
- The Stars return home after a three-game road trip that saw them go winless (0-2-1), including a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.
- Dallas has now trailed by at least two goals entering the third period in three straight games and in four of the past five, going 0-3-1 in the process.
- Patrick Sharp picked up an assist Tuesday night and now has points in 10 consecutive games (6G, 7A). It is the best streak of his 14-year career. Sharp currently ranks third on the club with 16 goals this season and fourth in points (35). Five of his goals have been game- winners.
- The Stars and Jets have met once before this season, also in Dallas, with the home side exiting with a 6-3 victory back on Nov. 12. Ales Hemsky, who is currently injured, had three points (1G, 2A) in that win.
- Dallas’ 28-10-4 record is the second-best in franchise history through 42 games, trailing only the 1998-99 squad (27-8-7, 61 points).
