City hall is about to get a new city auditor.
Executive policy committee is recommending Bryan Mansky, who had been acting city auditor for 10 months, be appointed city auditor/chief performance officer.
Mansky has been working in the audit division since 1999 and was deputy city auditor since 2009.
Mansky took on the role of acting city auditor in April 2015 following the resignation of Brian Whiteside.
The position of city auditor is one of four statutory positions within the civic administration. Unlike department directors who are hired by the CAO, statutory officers – city auditor, CAO, chief financial officer, and city clerk – are appointed by council.
It’s expected that Mansky’s appointment will become official following a vote at the Feb. 24 council meeting.
