THE Manitoba women’s curling championship isn’t the only one that is being played late in the curling schedule this year.
Our men’s curling champions will also be the last ones to be decided in Canada this year. The Safeway Championship is being held Feb. 18-22 in Selkirk.
That’s a full week after every other province and territory in the country will have already been decided.
The delays are the result of the MCA clearing off this past weekend of all other curling events to give the Canadian Open at MTS Centre exclusivity.
