Hey there, time traveller!

Three recent sightings of Christine Wood, including a photo of her in a Higgins Avenue beverage room, give searchers hope she’s alive.
Her parents sent a photo Friday morning to the Bear Clan Patrol. It depicts their daughter sitting in the King’s Hotel with two men, said Scott Osesky, an executive member of the Bear Clan. The photo is believed to have been taken Thursday.
Another photo of her taken five or six days ago shows her inside a room in the Power Tower apartment building, at the corner of Powers Street and Selkirk Avenue. The location is identifiable by the bell tower on Selkirk Avenue, which is visible out the window behind Wood.

She was spotted outside the Tim Hortons coffee shop on Isabel Street. She was getting into a Chrysler 300 vehicle.
“So we know she’s around,” said Osesky, as the Bear Clan prepared to search for Wood Friday night. As many as 25 clan members were expected to participate in the search. The Bear Clan planned to search the King’s Hotel, and slap posters of Wood on light posts from Burrows to William avenues.
Winnipeg police have confirmed several sightings, including in Osborne Village, near Portage Place Shopping Centre, and in St. James, east of Polo Park.
Wood, 21, has been missing since the evening of Aug. 19. The former University of Winnipeg student was last seen in St. James.
Wood’s parents, George and Melinda, pleaded for public help finding their daughter at a news conference earlier this week.
The family is from Oxford House First Nation.
Christine was staying at a hotel near Sargent Avenue and Berry Street with her parents while accompanying a family member to a medical appointment in Winnipeg on the night she went missing.

She told her parents she was going out for the evening and never returned. She hasn’t been in touch with family or friends since then.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Winnipeg police missing-persons unit at 204-986-6250.
