Charlene Ward of Portage la Prairie went out for the evening with friends in Portage nine years ago and was then found dead in her own home.
The RCMP is bringing attention back to this ongoing case hoping that someone will come forward with information about Ward, a 46-year-old mother and grandmother, who was found dead on Nov. 1, 2007 in her Portage la Prairie home on 5th Avenue NE.
Her death was ruled a homicide.
She had gone out for the evening on Oct. 31, 2007 with friends to the Cat & Fiddle Nite Club in Portage la Prairie and later brought them home to her house for a party.
Her body was found at about 8:45 a.m.
No arrests have been made in relation to Ward’s death but the RCMP believe someone has information related to her murder.
Police are asking anyone with information that may assist in the investigation and finding Ward’s killer to contact them.
