JOHN WOODS / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS FILES The last major derailment at CN's Symington Yards came in March 31, 2011 when 10 cars came off the rails. Here crews work to repair the damage.

Built in 1962, Symington Yards is an intermodal terminal located just off of Lagimodiere Boulevard near Fermor Avenue.

The last significant derailment at the rail yards was in 2011 when 10 cars went off the rails during normal yard operations.

No one was injured in that incident but one of the toppled cars did leak some gasoline.
