Ed Sheeran is getting ready to divide and conquer. The British singer-songwriter, whose third album, Divide, is topping the charts, announced on the Today show Wednesday that he will be heading out on a 48-date North American tour that brings him to the MTS Centre on July 22.

The red-headed guitarist, 26, is known for hits The A Team, Photograph and Thinking Out Loud, which won Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but pre-sales (using Ticketmaster’s new Verified Fan software, designed to prevent bots from scooping up tickets for resale sites) start Monday (see www.edsheeran.com for details). General ticket sales begin March 17, at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.

Thank you.”

Kaushik has not been heard from since Wednesday, when a glacier collapse in the nearby Himalayas triggered catastrophic flooding and landslides, sending a torrent of ice, rock and debris roughly 100 kilometres downstream.
