The Winnipeg Jets have confirmed that goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, defenceman Jacob Trouba and forward Andrew Copp will join Team USA for the upcoming IIHF world championship to be held in Paris and Cologne next month.

The 23-year-old Hellebuyck appared in 56 games for the NHL team in 2016-17, recording a 26-19-4 record, a 2.89 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. It will be his third appearance in the past four years for the Americans. He registered seven wins in eight games to help the U.S. to a bronze medal in 2016.

Trouba, 23, is also making his third world championship appearance. He appeared in 60 games, scoring eight goals and 33 points, for the Jets

Copp, 22, had nine goals and 17 points in 64 games NHL games this season. This is his first appearance at the world but he previously played for Team USA at the 2012 under-18 worlds and the 2014 world junior.

Previously, Winnipeg left-winger Nikolaj Ehlers (Denmark), centre Mark Scheifele (Canada) and defenceman Josh Morrissey (Canada) also committed to play at the world championship.
