Hey there, time traveller!

Just out of hospital with a total hip replacement, I got a text from a friend and former co-worker asking what I planned for Thanksgiving dinner. I laughingly said I found some frozen, leftover spaghetti in the freezer.
Two hours later, our doorman called to say he had a delivery for me: it was two insulated bags containing a hot turkey dinner, salad, warm bread, lasagna — enough food to last four days.
The friend who arranged this bounty is battling for her life, dealing with Stage 3 cancer, chemo and hair loss. I was so humbled I sat down and cried.
What kindness delivered to my door by the Laf sisters. What did I ever do to deserve friends like you?
As soon as I am mobile, I plan to pay it forward. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
