Investigators have released photos of a truck they say is similar to one a missing Winnipeg woman got into the night she vanished seven years ago.

Project Devote, a joint RCMP-Winnipeg police task force looking for murdered and missing exploited persons, said in a statement Thursday investigators are looking for a pickup truck described as mid-1990s, burgundy-coloured Chevrolet Silverado, extended cab, short box with a 4×4 decal towards the rear of the box. The outline of the word ‘Chevrolet’ is across the tailgate.

Amber Guiboche, 20, also known as Amber Gerard, was socializing with friends in a house on Bushnell Street on Nov. 10, 2010, when she left at about 11:45 p.m. and walked to Isabel Street and William Avenue.

Police said she was last seen getting into a burgundy pickup truck and hasn’t been seen since then. Investigators say the pickup truck was last seen travelling southbound on Isabel Street.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the truck or the driver to call the Project Devote tip line at 1-888-673-3316, Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, send a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com or text “TIPMAN” plus a message to CRIMES (274637).

Police have previously released a composite drawing of a person of interest in the case as well as a drawing of the baseball cap worn by the man.
