A man arrested this past month in Calgary has been charged with sexually assaulting four young girls in residences east of Winnipeg from 2010 to 2015.
RCMP said Friday there may be more potential victims, not just in Manitoba, but also Alberta and British Columbia.
Oakbank RCMP said it received a report on Jan. 22, about a historical sexual assault involving four female victims.
At the time of the alleged incidents, three of the girls were eight years old and one was seven.
RCMP launched an investigation and determined the alleged assaults took place in the suspect’s residence in Garson in the RM of Brokenhead and at a rural residence in the RM of Springfield.
RCMP said the suspect moved to Calgary and no longer had any contact with the alleged victims.
Ivan Valintine Cesnik, 57, was arrested in Calgary on Feb. 27.
He was transported to Winnipeg and charged with three counts each of sexual assault, uttering threats and sexual interference, and two charges of administering a noxious substance.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Oakbank RCMP at 204-444-3847, the Calgary Police Service or Alberta RCMP, or their local police force of jurisdiction.
