Winnipeg native Corey Gallagher won the men’s full marathon at the 40th annual Manitoba Marathon Sunday, as he crossed the finish line at Investors Group Field at 2:37:48.5.
Amy Feit made the trip to Winnipeg from Minnesota to compete in the marathon and it was worth the trip, as Feit finished in first place in the women’s full marathon at 3:02:51.6.
Half-marathon winners were Abduselam Yussuf on the men’s side and Darolyn Walker on the women’s. Yussuf and Walker, who are both from Winnipeg, are no strangers to winning the marathon, as Yussuf is a four-time winner and Walker won for the third time.
