Manitoba RCMP officers got into three highway collisions in just seven days, resulting in multiple injuries.
Most recently, a Falcon Lake RCMP officer driving in a marked police vehicle eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway collided with another vehicle near Richer Friday morning.
A 21-year-old woman from nearby Ste. Genevieve was driving southbound on Provincial Road 302 and tried to make a left turn onto Highway 1, when the two vehicles hit each other just before noon.

The 40-year-old officer and the woman were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Steinbach RCMP and a collision reconstructionist are investigating.
The other two collisions both happened on Sept. 10 and resulted in serious injuries.
At about 5:15 p.m., an officer was enforcing traffic on Highway 16 east of Minnedosa, when they found a speeder, the IIU said.
The officer turned on their emergency lights and siren, then turned west from the eastbound shoulder, when the cruiser was struck by an eastbound vehicle with two people inside. The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 16 and Municipal Road 103.
Everyone involved was initially taken to Minnedosa Hospital and later transported to Brandon Regional Hospital. One person in the civilian vehicle recieved a fractured sternum.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m. that same day, near Niverville, officers drove into a redlight intersection at Highways 311 and 59 while responding to an emergency call, when they struck another vehicle.
One officer was taken to Steinbach Hospital with minor injuries, where he was treated and released.
The other vehicle’s driver was transported to Health Sciences Centre and was admitted to hospital. It’s unclear what the extent of their injuries are.
Police referred both crashes to the IIU.
