“Our vision was to have the very best seating selection in the city. As the years went on, we evolved because people were asking for more. They wanted to get all their pieces from one store,” says Maribeth Marana, who co-owns the company with Ken Burke.

“Everybody’s busy and there never seems to be enough time, so we started to evolve to meet their needs. We began to carry more items that our customers were asking for.”

In addition to an impressive selection of seating, Bella Moda Home Furnishings began to bolster its product line with an esthetic array of furniture and accessories.

Whether you’re looking to create a relaxing room to kick back in at the end of the day or a sophisticated space for entertaining, Bella Moda offers items to suit every design project — no matter how big or small it might be. You’ll find accent pieces like lamps, vases, rugs, artwork and mirrors all the way up to larger furniture items such as beds, sofas, dining tables, desks and much more.

Over the years, designers and customers alike often asked about the availability of window blinds, so the team at Bella Moda Home Furnishings responded to the request by incorporating a new product. And so far, it’s already proving to be popular.

“After 12 years in business, we decided it was time to add this category that we’ve been getting asked about,” Burke says.

“We’re dealing with Hunter Douglas exclusively. Everybody knows Hunter Douglas and are familiar with their products. They have the best selections. They’re very easy to work with, and they have all the tools and services that you could need. We like things to be seamless so we can provide the absolute best customer service.”

The store’s latest addition of a Hunter Douglas showroom display allows designers and homeowners to add the finishing touches to any room with custom blinds, shades and shutters.

“We deal with a lot of designers and sometimes they like to shop in one location because they’re also dealing with fabrics, textures and colours,” Burke says. “A lot of our designers were happy to hear that we started carrying blinds.”

In addition, Bella Moda Home Furnishings employs a designer on staff who provides no-obligation home consultations.

“We like customers to come to the store to let us know what style they like,” Burke says.

“Then we can bring colours and fabrics and materials to help them decide what they might need right at home.”

The local business showcases a selection of items from around the globe, with many originating from suppliers that are exclusive to Bella Moda. These exclusive connections include a range of Italian brands such as Calligaris, Bracci and Natuzzi Italia, whose products are on display throughout a large portion of the showroom. They are excited to bolster their showroom this fall by adding Natuzzi Editions, which is now made in Italy. This line offers an opportunity for customers to incorporate a stylish Italian brand in their living spaces at a more affordable price point.

“We do have several suppliers from Italy, and they’re very up-to-date with fashion and design trends,” Marana says.

“People tend to come to us to see the new and latest trends. In Europe, they’re always ahead of the game, so we’re pleased to bring these items out and showcase them on our floor.”

Customers can expect to find mid- to high-end products that have been hand-selected from leading manufacturers all across the globe, including from exclusive supplier American Leather.

“Over the years, we’ve fine-tuned the suppliers we want to deal with,” Marana says.

“That way, we can take pride in providing the best possible care of our customers with high quality products to beautify their living spaces.”

Bella Moda Home Furnishings is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Financing is now available. See store for details.
