City police have released a sketch of an unidentified man who was found in medical distress and later died.

Police first asked for the public’s help in identifying the man on Nov. 16. He was found in the St. Norbert area on Oct. 18 and transported to a Winnipeg hospital.

The Winnipeg Police Service has not received any tips about the man’s identity.

The man has since died, the Winnipeg Police Service said Wednesday. His death is not believed to be the result of foul play.

The WPS released a composite sketch of the man on Wednesday. He was wearing a Phoenix Coyotes jacket with the NHL team’s logo and the text “PHOENIX” and “EST. 1996.”

The man is described as about 25 to 35 years old, 5-10 in height, with an average build, black hair and no visible marks, scars or tattoos.

Missing persons unit investigators have tried to identify the man through various means, including checking fingerprints, examining missing person reports, and sharing information with community-based groups and other law-enforcement agencies.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the missing persons unit at 204-986-6250 or Crime Stoppers at 204-986-8477 (TIPS).
