A system error preventing some Manitobans from accessing their pan-Canadian COVID-19 vaccination certificate has been partly corrected.
A provincial government spokesperson said the federal vaccination credential should be readily available to all Manitobans who request the document through the desktop portal (https://immunizationcard.manitoba.ca).
Previously, people who had logged on to the province’s immunization card portal received an error message when requesting their federal vaccination certificate.
The issue persisted for about two months and primarily affected people who had received the Moderna bivalent COVID-19 booster.
A government spokesperson said the Manitoba Immunization Card website and applications required configuration changes to recognize several new COVID-19 vaccines.
While the website is functional, the government’s mobile application still produces an error message for people who request their vaccine record.
The province is working on a new version of the application to correct the bug.
