Jets, Canucks tied 2-2 after one period

The Winnipeg Jets built a quick lead off a pair of Kyle Connor goals. But J.T. Miller and Jack Studnicka responded before the first period was over, bringing the Vancouver Canucks back on even terms at Canada Life Centre.
Shots were 14-10 in favour of the Canucks, who also had a goal called back on a successful offside challenge by the Jets.
Winnipeg is seeking a season-high fifth straight victory as they close out a homestand. They’ll hit the road for three straight, and eight of the next nine, starting Tuesday in Detroit.

It’s not exactly a goaltending clinic down at Canada Life Centre today.
The Winnipeg Jets have a 5-4 lead over the Vancouver Canucks through two periods of play.
Kyle Connor has scored twice, while Nikolaj Ehlers, Morgan Barron and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby have singles. J.T. Miller, Jack Studnicksa, Bo Horvat sand Sheldon Dries have scored for the visitors.
Shots are 26-19 in favour of the Canucks.
Backup goalie David Rittich is in net for Winnipeg, while Collin Delia was replaced by Spencer Martin after giving up four goals on 13 shots.
Jets down Canucks 7-4 for season-high fifth straight win

The Winnipeg Jets have won for a season-high fifth straight time, downing the Vancouver Canucks 7-4 at Canada Life Centre.
Kyle Connor had a hat trick, while linemates Pierre-Luc Dubois (four assists) and Nikolaj Ehlers (goal, two assists) also had big days. Morgan Barron, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Dylan DeMelo had the other goals for the home team.
J.T. Miller, Bo Horvat, Jack Studnicka and Sheldon Dries scored for Vancouver.
Backup goalie David Rittich stopped 34 of 38 shots he faced.
Winnipeg improves to 26-13-1. Vancouver falls to 17-19-3.
The Jets now hit the road for three straight games starting Tuesday night in Detroit.
