Students at many southern Manitoba schools were given a second snow day Thursday, with many remaining closed while the cleanup of snow dumped by a Colorado low continued in Manitoba.
The Seine River School Division said Thursday that all of its schools — including four in Winnipeg — were closed for a second day.
Schools were also closed in the Evergreen, Hanover, Interlake, Prairie Spirit, Red River Valley and Southwest Horizon divisions.

Students at many southern Manitoba schools were given a second snow day Thursday, with many remaining closed while the cleanup of snow dumped by a Colorado low continued in Manitoba.
Buses were cancelled in the Beautiful Plains School Division, but all of its schools were open. Buses were cancelled in the Rolling River and Prairie Rose school divisions, but many of their schools were open.
The Division scolaire franco-manitobaine closed 13 of its schools across southern Manitoba, including one in Winnipeg.
Weatherlogics — a private weather company that measures snow — reported that Winnipeg received 13.4 centimetres between Tuesday night and 6 a.m. Thursday.
Highways across southern Manitoba that had been closed were all open before 8 a.m.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting temperatures will start increasing over the next few days, with the mercury expected to reach 18 C in Winnipeg on Tuesday.
